Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About Happy Vibration

Who is Happy Vibration for?

Happy Vibration is for anyone looking to enjoy a day filled with music, connection, nature, inspiration and relaxation. You don't need any experience with meditation, yoga or personal development. Whether you're coming alone, with a partner, friends or family, you're warmly welcome just as you are.

Will I fit in?

Absolutely. Every year, many people attend Happy Vibration on their own for the very first time. The atmosphere is open, relaxed and welcoming, with no expectations or pressure. Whether you want to enjoy the music, join workshops or simply spend a peaceful day surrounded by nature, there is space for everyone.

I'm not spiritual. Is this festival still for me?

Definitely. Happy Vibration isn't about beliefs—it's about experience. You can enjoy the music, nature, inspiring conversations and workshops without having to believe in anything. Take what resonates with you and enjoy the day in your own way.

What makes Happy Vibration unique?

Happy Vibration brings together music, nature, personal growth, art and meaningful connection in one beautiful setting. At the heart of the festival stands the 7-metre-high Pyramid of Unity, built according to the proportions of the ancient Egyptian pyramids and carefully aligned with true north. Many visitors experience it as a place of peace, wonder and connection.

Whether you come to dance, relax, be inspired or meet new people, everything revolves around one central theme:

Celebrating Life.

I'm coming alone. Is that unusual?

Not at all. Many visitors come on their own each year. In fact, this often leads to the most meaningful encounters. You're more than welcome, even if you don't know anyone yet.

Do I have to participate in everything?

No. There is no right or wrong way to experience the festival. You choose how your day unfolds. Join workshops, enjoy the concerts, meet people or simply find a quiet place in nature. Everything is optional.

Programme

Are all workshops included?

Yes. All workshops, talks, live performances and ceremonies are included in your festival ticket, unless stated otherwise.

Do I need to register for workshops?

No. Most workshops are open to everyone. A small number of activities have limited capacity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend arriving on time if there's something you'd really like to join.

Is there a programme schedule?

Yes. The programme will be published on our website before the festival. Upon arrival, you'll also receive a printed programme booklet to help you plan your day.

Practical Information

What time does the festival open?

The festival grounds open at 12:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to arrive, explore the venue and enjoy some food or a drink before the programme begins.

The official programme starts at 1:00 PM and finishes around 9:30 PM. Afterward, you're welcome to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. The festival grounds remain open until 11:00 PM.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free parking is available near the festival grounds. Please follow the signs and the instructions of our volunteers upon arrival.

Can I travel by public transport?

Yes. The venue is accessible by public transport.

If you're travelling by train, get off at Workum Station. From there, walk to the Zwembad bus stop and take Qbuzz bus 44 towards Balk. Get off at Hotel Jans. From there it's only a 50-metre walk to the festival entrance.

Is the festival suitable for children?

Yes. Children are very welcome. Although there is no dedicated children's programme, we've found that children often love the music, the magical atmosphere, the Pyramid of Unity and the beautiful natural surroundings.

Please note that there are ponds and waterways on the grounds. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the festival.

Can I bring my dog?

No. Pets are not allowed on the festival grounds, even if they are on a leash. This is out of respect for other visitors, the workshops and the venue.

Will food and drinks be available?

Yes. Our kitchen at De Skuorre prepares fresh meals and snacks with great care and love. We work as much as possible with local, organic and seasonal ingredients. By managing the catering ourselves, we're able to keep prices fair.

A wide range of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options is available.

May I bring my own food and drinks?

No, bringing your own food and drinks is not permitted. A wide variety of meals, snacks and drinks is available on-site. You are welcome to bring an empty or reusable water bottle, which you can refill free of charge during the festival.

What happens if it rains?

Happy Vibration takes place rain or shine. Much of the programme is outdoors, so we recommend bringing suitable clothing. A little rain can sometimes add to the beauty of being in nature.

Is the festival wheelchair accessible?

The festival takes place in a natural garden with grass, woodland paths and uneven terrain. As a result, not every area is easily accessible. Please contact us in advance and we'll gladly discuss the possibilities with you.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

  • A blanket

  • A meditation cushion (optional)

  • An empty or reusable water bottle

  • Comfortable clothing

  • A warm sweater or jacket for the evening

  • Mineral sunscreen

  • A rain jacket, just in case

Can I pay by card?

We prefer cash payments. If that's not possible, you can easily pay by scanning a QR code.

May I take photos or videos?

Of course. We'd love it if you shared your experience on social media and tagged us. We simply ask that you respect the privacy of other visitors, especially during workshops, ceremonies and quiet moments.
